DEPARTMENT OF TAMIL
Tamil is one of the historical languages. Learning of the Tamil is as important as our aspiration. Our Cultural, heritage and Tamil literature has been transferred from one generation to another generation by teaching and learning of Tamil.
- The Department of Tamil provides all sort of experience to become an efficient and skillful Tamil teacher.
- Guiding the students to collect folk stories, proverbs, palm scripts, etc.
- The students are given exposure on field trip to archaeological places, historical places, etc.
- The Department organizes Tamil Elakkiya mandram where the students are given opportunity to expose their talents and develop their creative skill competitions are conducted like debate, dance, drama, verses writing ,elocution, essay writing, etc.
- The faculty of department coach Tamil syllabus for Teacher Eligibility Test. In future Tamil department has planned to establish Tamil language research centre.
